Unfortunately, 50% of new foster homes close within the first year due to stress, fatigue, secondary trauma, and the demands of endless meetings, appointments, paperwork, and court hearings, compounded by misinformation from the state. These homes need support to better meet the child’s special needs. Root to Bloom reduces this burden.
